Welcome back

Is this thing on?

Well, here we go again. Another month, another new web site. How long has it been since I took the old version of the site down? Too long is probably the correct answer.

It's not perfect, and not all of the content has survived the move, so watch where you tread. I shall be adding new content in due course, as well as all the bells and whistles like RSS feeds. A content management system would be nice too. I'll get round to it at some point.

A future weblog entry will, unless I get swathes of negative email in the meantime, describe how and why the site works as it does. While that's still pending, feel free to browse around and let me know what you do and don't like!

I would appreciate feedback (including screenshots, if possible) if things seem to be going wrong in your web browser. I've had a few evenings' worth of fun and frolics with IE for Mac and now it's in a passable state I have decided to unleash it upon the world.

You may have already noticed that there are two types of weblog entry: long ones, like this; and short ones, which contain just a link and a short description. (Note to self: must stop using exclamation marks to avoid looking like a teenager.) This is a somewhat experimental feature designed to counter my inability to write regular prose. It's obviously much quicker for me to insert a link and write a line to describe it than it is to write a longer piece, so I am hoping this will enable me to keep it updated more frequently.
